Further information on
The Fondation Beyeler is located in a stunning setting in Riehen near Basel. It is internationally renowned for its world-class exhibitions, its significant collection of over 500 works of classical modernism and contemporary art, as well as its diverse events programme. The Fondation Beyeler ensemble is situated in the midst of a protected landscape area with views of cornfields, cow pastures and vineyards at the foothills of the Black Forest. It unites the Beyeler Museum designed by Renzo Piano with the new buildings by Peter Zumthor: the Wyss Museum, the Ammann Pavilion and the Erlen Gatehouse. The ensemble is complemented by carefully restored and repurposed historic buildings as well as a park with centuries-old trees, ponds and meadow landscapes. Various gardens feature artworks and public meeting spaces.
