"24 Stops" Rehberger-Weg End
The ten-year "24 Stops" project came to an end on 31 October 2025. The Rehberger-Weg ran between Weil am Rhein and Riehen, between the Fondation Beyeler and the Vitra Campus. Guided by "24 Stops", 24 landmarks created by artist Tobias Rehberger, the Rehberger-Weg provided an opportunity to learn about and retell the history and stories of the surrounding area and its people ,inviting visitors to take a trip into nature. The Fondation Beyeler, the municipality of Riehen, Vitra and the city of Weil am Rhein were jointly responsible for developing the idea and bringing it to fruition.
The idea of a cross-border trail was initiated as part of the IBA Basel. The Swiss watch company Swatch generously supported the project as presenting partner and enabled the production of the artist's objects marking the trail. In September 2015, the first 12 landmarks were installed.
