The Fondation Beyeler’s next collection display is connected to Olafur Eliasson’s Life exhibition and explores the relationship between nature and culture in art through selected modern and contemporary art works depicting the human, animal and vegetal realms. Landscapes, still lifes and portraits uncover a dense web of relationships with the environment.
"Close-Up" 19.9.2021 – 2.1.2022
The exhibition shows works by women artists occupying prominent positions within the history of modern art from 1870 to the present day.
"Goya" 10.10.2021 – 23.1.2022
The Fondation Beyeler is presenting one of the most important exhibitions ever devoted to Francisco de Goya outside of Spain. Goya was one of the last major court artists and the first pioneer of modern art.
SOUND GARDEN w/ MORPHING TERRITORIES
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 4, 6-8 P.M. — Listen to the sounds of Philipp Weibel aka “Morphing Territories” in the evening sun of the Berower Park – with refreshing cocktails and plenty of space. The psychedelic-dubby sound constructions of the Basel based musician offer the perfect setting to round off the evening. Admission is free.
SAT, 14. AUGUST - The daytime programme offers varied entertainment for young and old with tours, workshops and culinary delights. In the evening, Stephan Eicher and his band will play an intimate concert in the park. Afterwards, the "Osomo Experience" invites you to listen to the meditative and rhythmic compositions of musician Simon Baumann.
"24 Stops" Summer Party
SUNDAY, 22.08 2-6 P.M. – There is a lot to discover during the "24 Stops" summer party: Next to Tobias Rehberger’s 24 waymarks, workshops and regional delicacies invite you to a very special family trip. You can start walking from either the Fondation Beyeler or the Vitra Campus. Simply pick up a walking map and a small surprise at the info desk and start walking.
sun.set w/ DJ Tennis
SATURDAY, AUGUST, 21, 4.30-9.30 P.M. — The sun.set series returns to the Fondation Beyeler park this summer, as usual in collaboration with Nordstern Basel - one of the leading institutions for electronic music. First up this year will be internationally renowned DJ Tennis whose performance is flanked by DJ Holographic as visitors can once again dance into the sunet. No box office - tickets only available online in advance.
Sound Garden w/ Arbajo Jairus
WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 11, 6-8 P.M. — Swiss rapper Arbajo Jairus' classic rap and sample beats are strongly influenced by the golden age of hip-hop of the 1990s. In the Berower Park Arbajo Jairus and his band will give an energetic concert from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. with a mix of old school hip-hop, jazz, pop and 60s funk. Entry is free. Organised together with Kulturbüro Riehen.

"24 Stops" – Rehberger-Weg
Guided tours for the Rehberger-Weg are bookable again. Navigated by 24 artworks created by the artist Tobias Rehberger, walkers can explore a unique cultural landscape between the Fondation Beyeler and teh Vitra Campus. Durung the tour the artist, the artworks and their surrounding landscape will be closely looked at.
art.set w/ Adriatique — Fondation Beyeler x Nordstern
For the latest installment of our “art.set” series together with “Nordstern Basel” and “Arte Concert” two outstanding duos meet for the first time: The spherical electro-sounds of Adriatique converge with the iconic presence of the “Thinker” and “Ptolemäus III” sculptures from the recent “Rodin/Arp” exhibition. Their encounter culminates in a unique interplay of sounds and visuals featuring a specially created light display.
100 years Ernst Beyeler
Ernst Beyeler was born on 16 July 1921. On the occasion of what would have been his 100th birthday, we are going to take a more personal look at the founder of the Fondation Beyeler.
“What is Art?” Animated Video
Easing viewers straight into the world of art is the focus of a new animated clip presented by UBS and the Fondation Beyeler. The video takes its inspiration from the book “What is Art? 27 Questions 27 Answers” published by the Fondation Beyeler.

Film and Game "Das Dingsda im Museum"
The new museum game invites children and adults to discover the works of art based on questions in a playful way and in exchange with each other. It can be borrowed free of charge from the Art Shop of the Fondation Beyeler for your museum visit and is suitable for every exhibition. Only avaible in German.
