Book your exclusive event in our "Café Parisien"

The Fondation Beyeler is opening the 2019 cultural year with a truly unique art event: from the start of February to the end of May, we are presenting Pablo Picasso’s early masterpieces from his so-called Blue and Rose Periods. These paintings and sculptures, produced between 1901 and 1906, are among the world’s most valuable and treasured pieces of art, and show Picasso embarking on the ground-breaking path that would make him the most important artist of the 20th century. Milestones of modernism every one, they are also seen here in this concentration for the very first time in Europe. In fitting conjunction with this cultural highlight, we are offering you the unique opportunity to experience the exhibition in a private atmosphere. Devote yourself wholly to the young Picasso outside museum opening hours by booking one of our five evening events.

We close the museum. And open it again – for you.

What finer way to enjoy Picasso's art than to have the museum all to yourself? Invite your friends, colleagues or customers to visit the exhibition outside regular opening hours. The Fondation Beyeler offers you a choice of five evening events for private groups, featuring tours of the Picasso exhibition led by experienced guides—and by the curator himself, should you so wish. Afterwards, step straight into vibrant Parisian life around 1900 in our "Café Parisien", the perfect setting in which to chat with fellow guests over drinks and snacks.

Paris around 1900 – Welcome to our "Café Parisien".

Would you like to savor the impressions left by the exhibition, and the emotions it has triggered, for a little while longer? If so, we recommend you book one of our evening tours with aperitif or apéro riche in our "Café Parisien", created specially for the exhibition. It captures all the flavor of the Parisian establishments of around 1900 in which Picasso found his inspiration, and offers you the opportunity to discuss the art you have just seen over a glass of wine and delicious canapés—in the most exclusive tour option, with the curator in person. Give your Picasso evening a perfect conclusion and that certain je ne sais quoi which will turn your museum visit into an unforgettable experience.
