Deserto-Modelo is the first comprehensive monograph on the Brazilian artist Lucas Arruda, published in connection with his exhibition of the same title at the Fridericianum in Kassel in 2019. The collection of the Fondation Beyeler contains eleven works from the Deserto-Modelo series (2015), three of which are to be seen in Passages – Landscape, Figure and Abstraction, the current presentation of the museum's permanent collection. Arruda's work includes painting, printmaking, and the creation of light installations, projections, and films. The artist will be present at the event.
