May 22 – November 12, 2017

From May 22 to November 12, 2017, the Anglo-German artist Tino Sehgal (*1976) will be present at the Fondation Beyeler with an exhibition designed as a series of six successive presentations.

June 10 - September 3, 2017

The second exhibition in the series will show the collection in its present state. In recent years, it has started to be extended through acquisitions designed to give it a contemporary facet. The interaction between acquisitions and the existing collection is always a key criterion for decisions about what to select. This presentation will showcase the dialog between artists and the collection in many different ways.

The Fondation Beyeler's main goal is to bring art and viewer together. In our guided tours and workshops, we do not only share knowledge about artists, works, and epochs. We create above all a space in which to deepen observations and exchange different views, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. Our goal is to let stories, and therefore connections, come into being between the artwork and the viewer. Especially important to the Fondation Beyeler is that children and young people find their way to such stories and connections.
