Kids Celebration

The Fondation Beyeler is celebrating its expanded complex with a special day for children and young people, during which the new buildings and the park will become a large, interactive space for play and discovery.

One of the day’s highlights is Philippe Parreno’s interactive art installation My Room is Another Fish Bowl: a large, walk-in ‘aquarium’ with shimmering fish-shaped balloons floating inside.

Visitors can also discover the plants and wildlife in the Beyeler Park through play, or immerse themselves in the world of art via guided family tours of the Beyeler Museum and the new Wyss Museum. Art lovers of all ages can additionally explore the exhibitions independently with an activity and drawing booklet or get creative in studio workshops. A ping-pong playground, a photo station with dressing-up games and exciting tales in the storytelling corner give visitors more reasons to spend time here, play and explore.

With a varied programme spanning both museums, the studios, the Ammann Pavilion and the Beyeler Park, our art outreach team looks forward to welcoming children, young people and their families.

All Kids Celebration activities are included in the admission.
