Fondation Beyeler celebrates summer and art with a multifaceted Summer Festival and a series of musical highlights. The museum, Kunst Raum Riehen and the adjacent park will be open to visitors throughout the day, offering fascinating exhibitions, a wide range of art mediation activities, and varied entertainment for all ages.
A special highlight of this year’s Summer Festival is Casey Spooner, the American artist and performer best known as one half of the legendary electroclash duo Fischerspooner. His performance combines pulsating beats, striking visuals and a commanding stage presence – captivating, glamorous and engaging at close range.
The museum and the Beyeler Restaurant in the Park will remain open until 10 pm during the Summer Festival. Admission to the park is free; museum admission is CHF 10.
The Summer Festival is generously supported by the Municipality of Riehen and realised in collaboration with the Riehen Cultural Office and Kunst Raum Riehen.
During this interactive tour, families, children and young people are invited to exchange ideas and perspectives on the works featured in the Collection presentation.

In this small-group workshop, participants will create imaginative stories together using movement, voice and musical instruments. Join in and become part of the story yourself!

A nature excursion for all ages invites participants to explore the pond and its vegetation near the North Terrace in the museum park together with an expert.
In cooperation with Landschaftspark Wiese.

Leaves, tree bark and stones are pressed into modelling clay to create temporary stamps. The impressions are then collected and bound into a small book.
Time: 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.
Children create and decorate their own masks using a variety of materials and colours. They can give free rein to their creativity and step into different roles and characters.
Time: 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.
Children create their own miniature ecosystem in a glass jar. Using soil, plants and small decorative elements, they build a personal miniature world while discovering in a playful way how nature works.
Time: 11 a.m. – 6 p.m.
The Art Lab team offers body painting, applying motifs to the skin using stencils. These can be complemented with temporary tattoos. To help visitors keep cool, fans designed by the Art Lab will also be available.
