Arigato Kusama – Bonjour Cezanne

Friday, 23 January 2026, 6 p.m.–2 a.m.

Experience a magical encounter between two worlds of art at the Fondation Beyeler during Basel Museum Night 2026: “Arigato Kusama – Bonjour Cezanne”. Immerse yourself in the colourful, boundless imagination of legendary Japanese artist Yayoi Kusama and enjoy an exclusive preview of the upcoming exhibition by Provençal master painter Paul Cezanne. Between 6 p.m. and midnight, short tours in several languages will guide you through the highlights of ‘Cezanne’, while audio guides and an interactive booklet on the Kusama exhibition invite you to explore and delve deeper on your own. In the park, illuminated at night, atmospheric late-night tours of Kusama's spectacular installations await you at midnight and 1 a.m. Creativity will also be on display at the Beyeler Restaurant im Park with delicious Japanese finger food and selected drinks; but it's not just the cuisine that will be creative: at the Art Lab: Polka Dots and Polish, you can even turn your own fingernails into little dotted works of art. Museum Night 2026 promises to be an intense, artistic experience for all the senses.
