Walking Panel and Performance: Black Future Week X Friday Beyeler

Fondation Beyeler is delighted to host a unique evening on Friday, September 27th, as part of "Friday Beyeler," in collaboration with Black Future Week. The event kicks off at 6:30 PM with an engaging performance by Chris Chordz and Livia Lockridge, setting the stage for an evening of cultural exploration. Following the performance, join us for an interactive exhibition walking panel moderated by Tallulah Patricia Bär, featuring curators Raphael Bouvier and Andile Magengelele. This panel will delve into how the Harlem Renaissance has influenced the art of Henri Matisse, offering new insights into this dynamic cultural exchange. The evening will continue with opportunities to connect over drinks at the Beyeler Restaurant, and enjoy a second performance by Chris Chordz and Livia Lockridge. This bilingual event will be held in both German and English. No pre-registration is required.

Black Future Week is committed to uniting and empowering ecosystems of people of color and allies. The initiative aims to close funding gaps for underrepresented founders, build multi-generational wealth within the BIPOC community, and create spaces for growth and learning. Their mission aligns with fostering connections and celebrating Black excellence, allyship and driving positive change, and ensuring equitable opportunities for all.

Meeting point: Foyer: This evening event will be held in German and English. Pre-registration is not required for this event.
