The relationship between the artist and the model is complex. Henri Matisse’s work includes many female nudes, who are often captured and objectified by the artist’s gaze. How could they be given voice so that they could tell of this often symbiotic, sometimes controversial, but never one-sided relationship? Together with the Basel duo SOLAND ANGEL (Yanik Soland and Marianna Angel), artist and author Olga Hohmann will spend an hour exploring these and other questions about the voice as a medium of emancipation through which spaces can be occupied and defined.
