DESCRIPTION:At first glance, Jeff Wall’s large-size photographs look like snapshots. He presents seemingly random everyday scenes in urban settings, which can all be interpreted and read in many different ways. In this exhibition, Maneva Tafanalo Salaam, a secondary school teacher committed to education policy and a key figure at the Netzwerk Anti-Rassismus Basel (Anti-Racism Network Basel), will be talking to Martina Siegwolf, art mediator and diversity officer at the FHNW University of Design and Art, in front of the works Mimik (1982) and The Storyteller (1986), giving the images a voice.
