From Cézanne to Tillmans

The new collection display offers startling constellations, inspiring encounters and enlightening insights. It opens with landscapes by Paul Cézanne, Claude Monet, Paul Gauguin and Ferdinand Hodler. Still lifes by Pablo Picasso, Fernand Léger, Roy Lichtenstein and Wolfgang Tillmans whet our appetite. Paintings by Francis Bacon and Marlene Dumas become neighbours, sculptures by Alberto Giacometti and Louise Bourgeois engage in conversation, monumental pictures by Balthus and Neo Rauch come face to face. Born 100 years ago, Ellsworth Kelly is duly celebrated, cheered by Monet, Klee, Picasso, Pollock and Mitchell. In connection with our current exhibition, Georg Baselitz for the first time presents his tribute to Niko Pirosmani. The sun goes down on Rousseau’s painted jungle.
