Electronic music in the park

In summer 2019 the fourth edition of the sun.set series, organized in collaboration with Basel’s Club Nordstern, will be taking place in the Berower Park gardens of the Fondation Beyeler. Internationally renowned electronic music artists will be performing in the museum grounds from 4 to 9.30 p.m. on one Saturday a month from June through September. The sun.set series invites you to enjoy four inimitable evenings of DJ sets in an unconventional venue as the sun goes down. The open-air gathering of electronic music fans in the park, the architecture of the museum and the exhibitions on show inside together add up to a very special experience.

Jamie Jones

Saturday 15 June / 4:30pm–9:00pm

The name of Welsh musician Jamie Jones is inextricably linked with his record label Hot Creations, established with Lee Foss in 2010. The label, which has long blossomed into a global brand, also provided the platform from which Jamie Jones launched the band Hot Natured, in which he joined forces with Ali Love, Luca Cazal and Lee Foss. Hot Natured enjoys considerable success especially at home in Great Britain. This testifies to Jamie Jones’s musical versatility, which provides the foundation of his work as a DJ. His influence on contemporary electronic club music is invaluable: through him, pop and soul influences are making their way almost unfiltered into house music, contributing to its growth and progression.
