Private Guided Tours

Book a private guided tour now! Tours can take place after 4 p.m. or upon request after regular opening hours (evening tours from 6.30 p.m. onward). In order to meet the requirements of our safety plan, groups are limited in size to ten participants during the day and 20 participants in the evening. For the time being, private guided tours before 4 p.m. and guided tours for school groups can only take place in the park.

Architecture and sculptures tour in the park

On a tour of the Fondation Beyeler’s park, visitors are given information on Renzo Piano’s architecture and surprising insights into the five outdoor sculptures by Alexander Calder, Ellsworth Kelly, Philippe Parreno, Jenny Holzer and Thomas Schütte.

Performative guided tour in the park – with Daniel Rakovsky

This performative guided tour provides a wholly new perspective on the artworks located in the park. In company of a performance artist, visitors move through the museum’s park, exploring their own bodies and the outdoor sculptures.

Workshops

SKETCH IT! ­– Edward Hopper – green landscapes

This mobile workshop invites visitors to roam the museum’s park to engage with the American artist’s landscapes and create their own drawings and watercolours in green. Provided with creative instructions and various materials, participants move freely through the park for one hour and commit their impressions to paper.

Sculpture drawing – outdoor sculptures

Through drawing volumes and experimenting with wire, cardboard or clay, this mobile workshop allows visitors to approach the Fondation Beyeler’s outdoor sculptures in a different way, using their own observations. Materials, tricks and tips are provided!

Current events

Art Lab summer program

Sa+Su 18./19.7. & 25./26.7., 12noon – 5pm

We invite you to discover Edward Hopper’s works anew through different media – drawing, painting or digital technology. Three interactive stations are set up in the park, taking up the themes of our Edward Hopper show. This project was developed by the Art Lab and students of the Academy of Art and Design. Participation is free and possible anytime, without prior registration.
