Stories about art
The Fondation Beyeler's main goal is to bring art and viewer together. In our guided tours and workshops, we do not only share knowledge about artists, works, and epochs. We create above all a space in which to deepen observations and exchange different views, perceptions, thoughts, and feelings. Our goal is to let stories, and therefore connections, come into being between the artwork and the viewer. Especially important to the Fondation Beyeler is that children and young people find their way to such stories and connections.
A private guided tour of the Fondation Beyeler allows companies, associations, tour groups or private parties to have an exclusive art experience that will definitely give you something to talk about. Art is not there just to be looked at but also to stimulate the exchange of views and discussion.
The Fondation Beyeler is a unique place to experience art. School groups and groups of students can see masterpieces of classical modern as well as contemporary art, and they can deepen their understanding through guided tours and workshops.
For families and children
The list of the Fondation Beyeler’s offerings includes treats for families and guarantees an unforgettable experience with art. The guided tour for families is an invitation to explore the current exhibition together and to experience art from different perspectives
For young people
The Young Art Club and Art Lab are special spaces for young people. This is the place to experience art close up, to discuss with likeminded peers, and to be active yourself. As a member of the Young Art Club, you are entitled to special discounts and invitations to exclusive events.
For visitors with disabilities
The museum is fully accessible to wheelchair users and people with reduced mobility. The full range of guided tours and workshops is also available. The hearing impaired will find guided tours accompanied by a sign language interpreter, and tours for the blind and visually impaired contain detailed image descriptions. We can also offer special tours and workshops for people with mental disabilities on request.
