DAROS LATINAMERICA COLLECTION 21 February - 27 April 2014

Daros Latinamerica, one of the world’s leading collections of contemporary Latin American art, is a guest at the Fondation Beyeler. The exhibition invites viewers to take a journey of discovery through the diverse oeuvres of artists from a range of Latin American countries.

The lively exhibition and publication activity of Daros Latinamerica enables an intense dialogue between artistic stances in Latin America and an international audience. Since March 2013, the focus of the collection's public activities has been the Casa Daros in Rio de Janeiro, which serves both as an exhibition venue and a culture center.

The selection of works on view at the Fondation Beyeler represents a great variety of media: painting, sculpture, an installation, and video works, divided into two thematic programs. The present concentrated group show is designed to provide insight into the subjects that are of special interest to Latin American artists.
